Saint Pierre-la-Mer is situated in the Languedoc-Roussillon region (and Aude department) in the south east of France, just above the Spanish border. The Languedoc Roussillon is the most southern region on the French Mediterranean coast.

How to get to Saint Pierre?
About the village
The small sea side village of Saint Pierre is famous for its big market and its endless beaches. It was built in the 1960s aiming at French family tourism. Situated at the foot of the La Clape hills, it borders the marshlands and salt lakes of the nature reserve formed by the estuary of the river Aude. The closest city to Saint Pierre-la-Mer is Narbonne at 25 kms, followed by Beziers at 35 kms.
In the village of Saint Pierre there are many things to do, whatever your age and interest:
- a daily big market with fresh food and produce of the land
- shops and bakeries for your fresh croissants in the morning
bars and discotheques to practise your off-the-water moves- restaurants to sample the region's dishes and wines. Most of the restaurants and bars are open from May until the end of October.
- events for all ages, organized by the community. Especially in July and August there is a host of activities and events to join in: open air concerts, evening market, sports tournaments, children's entertainment, etc.
- a big fairground during the months of July and August
- at walking distance: a children's farm and poney club at l'Oustalet
- at walking distance: the geological mystery that is L'Oeuil doux, a large crater in the green and lush landscape of the La Clape hills
- wine tasting in one of the many vineyards surrounding the village.
